If you are a motivated worker, with a high school diploma or GED, Boilermakers Local 154 can help you secure a challenging and rewarding career. For more information on the Trainee Program call the hall or stop by Monday-Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.Applications are handed out every third Tuesday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Boilermakers Local 154 Union Hall. Applicants must appear in person, no later than noon, with a valid photo ID and must be 18 years of age or older. For more information on the Apprenticeship call the hall or visit: http://boilermakersapprenticeship.com/.The Common Arc Welder Performance Qualification Program gives our Boilermaker Employers access to pre-certified welders in compliance with the A.S.M.E. Section 1X Welding Code. For more information on the Common Arc program visit: http://www.commonarc.com/. Common Arc updates are conducted the first Monday of each month at 1:00p.m. If the welding school is closed, call the hall for the alternate date.The Boilermakers Local 154 LEAP Committee conducts programs to ensure that members and their families are informed on legislative issues that relate to the union, are registered to vote, and vote in all elections. At the same time, working to defeat anti-labor initiatives. The LEAP Committee endorses the introduction and passage of legislation that will benefit working Americans and their families. The Local 154 LEAP Committee is appointed by the Business Manager. If you are a retired member of Local 154 you can stay active by visiting the Retiree Club. Local 154 retirees meet every Wednesday and Thursday from noon to 5:00pm at the Retiree Club located at 1070 Banksville Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15216. All retired members are welcome! Local Retiree monthly meetings are held the last Saturday of each month at noon until 5:00pm. All retired members are welcome and encouraged to attend meetings.
