Intrepid TV Repair

(Intrepid TV Repair has moved to Penbrook from Steelton.) Intrepid TV Repair owner came to my house to repair my 50-inch plasma TV. My TV had lost picture but had sound. I paid him $132.50, be deducted from the final amount once the TV was repaired. He couldn’t find anything causing my problem and took it to his repair shop. He had asked if I wanted new or used parts. I told him new parts. He gave me a paper with an estimate of $450 for repairs, without knowing what the problem was. I informed him this estimate was unacceptable; I would rather buy a new set instead. He claimed it was just a top-end estimate. Over the next 2 ½ weeks, he said he located the problem but twice the replacement parts he ordered had blown fuses. Then he admitted these were used and NOT new parts. He also said that the total cost of repairing it would come to around $470, with tax.. No way. He returned the TV. I had nothing to show for my involvement with Intrepid TV Repair but wasted money and wasted time....
